It’s impossible not to feel inspired by the Norwegian Uno-X team, once again lining up against the world’s best in the Tour de France. In 2026 they’re back – and we’re following in their tracks! Together with Expa Travel, you’ll experience the true Tour de France atmosphere in the French Alps, right in the landscape that has shaped some of the sport’s greatest moments.
Our route is filled with legendary climbs: Alpe d’Huez, Col du Galibier and Col de l’Iseran – the highest paved mountain pass in Europe. You’ll also experience the race up close when the peloton battles its way up the iconic Alpe d’Huez, surrounded by cheering crowds, flags, chaos and festival feeling along the roadside.
The next day, we meet the riders again as they tackle Col de la Croix de Fer via Col du Glandon. In short – this is the Tour de France at its very best!
This is the trip for those who want to feel both the sense of achievement and the true Tour de France atmosphere up close. The stages cross some of the highest mountain passes in Europe, and you’ll feel both the distance and the elevation along the way.
It’s perfect for riders who enjoy a challenge, but who also want to experience the French Alps with good food, great company and stunning views from the saddle.
You should have some experience with climbs and longer days on the bike, but with the option to rent an e-road bike, anyone with a basic fitness level can join the adventure.
At the same time, this tour is just as much about enjoying as it is about performing – rolling through charming alpine villages, sharing meals, and soaking up the atmosphere of the mountains that have shaped Tour de France history.
The longest stages will take most of the day – but in return, you’ll get incredible views and that unmistakable Tour de France feeling.
We’re imagining a week filled with cycling joy, TdF energy, a sense of achievement and memories that will last a lifetime.
You fly in to Geneva. From there, the adventure on two wheels begins in the heart of the French Alps. Each day we ride some of the most iconic mountain stages from Tour de France history.
We change hotels daily, and your luggage is transported between accommodations – so you can focus entirely on the cycling. What you need during the stages you carry in a small daypack.
Water can be refilled at local fountains or purchased along the way, and as always on Expa trips, coffee stops are mandatory!
All meals from dinner on the first evening to breakfast on the departure day are included. Lunches vary between picnic-style meals along the route and simple restaurant stops – usually a main course.
Dinners are mostly enjoyed in the hotel restaurants. Drinks are not included.
Bikes from our local partner are delivered to the hotel on the first day. We use new Giant TCR road bikes (maximum one year old). You bring your own pedals, helmet and water bottle.
We ride as one group, at a relaxed pace with focus on the experience. The stages can be long and demanding, with many meters of climbing – but we take time to enjoy the ride, the atmosphere and the landscape of the French Alps.
On July 24th and 25th, we get up close to the Tour de France circus! We will see the riders pass on two consecutive days – on some of the most legendary climbs in the entire race.
We will be staying at the following hotels on this tour:
Accommodation is arranged in double rooms, with the option of single rooms upon request. A single-room supplement of NOK 3,900 will apply if required.
The following meals are included in the price:

D / Hotel de Geneve / Approx. 20 km
Bus transfer from the airport to the first accommodation. Lunch on your own this day (not included).
We arrive at the charming Hotel de Geneve in the small village of Faverges, where we will also receive our bikes.
After some individual adjustments, we head out for a short ride to the beautiful Lake Annecy – surrounded by stunning mountains.
Dinner in the hotel restaurant.
B, L, D / Hostellerie du Petit Saint Bernard / Approx. 70 km / Approx. 1,700 m elevation gain
The adventure begins! Today we cross the incredibly beautiful mountain pass Cormet de Roselend, reaching its highest point at 1,968 masl. The Tour de France has tackled this pass no fewer than 19 times. Even though we will climb even higher passes later in the week, we expect the 20 km ascent to be both a fantastic challenge and an opportunity to find a good rhythm while enjoying the scenery all the way to the top.
After a break at the summit, a spectacular descent awaits, leading us down to Bourg-Saint-Maurice and the Hostellerie du Petit Saint Bernard – a classic alpine hotel located at 840 masl.
Should anyone still have energy left and wish for an extra challenge, there is an option to add an additional climb in the afternoon.
Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.
B, L, D / L’Outa Hotel / Approx. 81 km / Approx. 2300 m a.s.l.
If anything deserves to be called epic, it’s conquering the mighty Col de l’Iseran by bike!
This is the highest paved mountain pass in Europe – even a few meters higher than the Stelvio Pass. We’ll be climbing all the way up to 2764 m a.s.l.
It will be wild, beautiful, tough, incredibly fun, and guaranteed to be something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
After descending into Val Cenis, we arrive at L’Outa Hotel, where we enjoy a well-deserved dinner and a relaxing evening.
B, L, D / The People – Les 2 Alpes / Approx. 95 km / Approx. 2,500 m elevation gain
We begin with some easier kilometres out of Val Cenis, but today also brings a highlight found on many cyclists’ bucket lists – the majestic Col du Galibier.
This year, as in many previous years, it is the highest point of the Tour de France route. Mythical battles between the giants of cycling have been fought here countless times.
When we reach the summit at 2,642 m a.s.l., we’re rewarded with spectacular views in all directions.
And now the Tour de France circus draws even closer as we make our way to Les Deux Alpes.
Guaranteed a bit tired, but hopefully proud and happy with what we’ve achieved and experienced together so far.
B, L, D / Hotel Maison Barbillion / Approx. 90 km / Approx. 1200 m elevation gain
The Tour de France circus arrives at Alpe d’Huez – perhaps the most legendary climb in all of cycling, with its 21 hairpin bends. This will be cycling madness at its very best. And our home favorites, Uno-X, are part of the show.
We’ll be cheering for everyone – the biggest stars fighting for victory, the riders in the famous jerseys, the domestiques, and those coming in last battling the time cut.
After the finish we ride on to Grenoble, where we spend the night at Hotel Maison Barbillion in the city center.
B, L, D / Accommodation in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne / Approx. 95 km / Approx. 2,350 m elevation gain
This is our final day (!) where we ride parts of the course that will be the queen stage for the Tour de France riders.
We start early, ahead of the TdF peloton, climbing up to Col de la Croix de Fer at 2,064 m, via Col du Glandon.
This mountain is known for its incredibly beautiful views, and we’ll watch the Tour de France riders pass by. After reaching the top, we descend to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
Upon arrival, those who wish can take a shower at the hotel right away. But we also have a fantastic bonus option: Just a few kilometres away you’ll find the Lacets de Montvernier. Some call it the most beautiful set of hairpin bends in the world. Over 3.4 km and 277 meters of elevation, it winds its way up the mountainside. If anyone wants one last push from there, the road continues up to another famous Tour de France climb: Col de la Madeleine. Realistically, it may be too ambitious to reach the top even for the toughest riders – but the option is there…
We end the day with a farewell dinner in the hotel restaurant.
